Bringing cricket to new communities across the UK

With The Hundred placing more eyes on cricket, and engaging more young people than ever before, the ECB identified a need to encourage more kids into the sport. Their incredible Dynamos Cricket coaching programme for 8-11 year olds was established to inspire the next generation with a coaching programme, sessions, kit and more. However, barriers around access and participation are still real and present.

In 2020, Sky teamed with the ECB to bring cricket to kids who needed support. Dynamos Cricket Intros initiative was launched, investing in hundreds of communities and offering free cricket sessions, coaching and kit to 10,000 kids across England & Wales. But that was just the beginning…

In partnership with ECB and Lambeth Council, Sky Sports and RPM took cricket to the community by transforming an unloved ballcourt in Lambeth into the first permanent Dynamos Intros Wicket, placing cricket right at the heart of the community.

The installation is complete with permanent stumps, a vibrant new paint job and access to free kit, inspiring and encouraging children from under-represented backgrounds to play the game now and for years to come.
